Private solo tour of Park Guell
After seeing the Picasso Museum and Míro Museum solo, I was ready to have an expert guide me through the Guadi Park. Hats off to Carmen at BGB for suggesting, I have a private guide show me the details of the Guadi Park. We spent 3 hrs exploring it and It was truly a highlight of my 17 days in Spain. Lali, my guide, gave me all the historical data and we had time to tour the museum there too. On my own, IF I had bought a tix ahead, i would have buzz thru there in an hr and thought ho hum, another park. If you have time, do this with a guide. It us spectacular history.

Airport transfer driver extremely patient given our heavily delayed arrival; waited nearby as we checked into hotel; timing actually turned out to be ideal given that Monica was arriving at 4 p.m. which gave us 30 minutes to freshen up and still get to the Gaudi site.

Monica … lovely and amazing; skillfully navigated the huge crowds at the Sagrada Familia and made a special effort to establish a connection with each one of us. Guell Park was an unexpected treat — and Monica indulged us with some great family photos. Dinner at Vigo was perfect; very friendly staff and a nice intro to the local cuisine. Tour of the Boqueria Market and the Gothic quarter was fabulous; Monica selected a few special food stands and retail shops which we never would have discovered on our own (especially handmade candles and hard candies). The Picasso Museum was expectedly packed but, again, Monica’s familiarity with the layout and her great sense of art history allowed her to lead us in all of the right directions with ease. She suggested our lunch spot (Cafe del Fin) on the Ramblas, which served amazing tomato bread. The concierge booked dinner for us that evening at Divinus, which was a nice walk but not particularly noteworthy in terms of dinner fare. Our final walking tour with Monica was to the waterfront — the Aquarium was a huge hit with Kitty and Amanda, as expected. We said farewell there and ambled on our own to the nearby (topless) beach, later meeting up with Hope for dinner at a restaurant Jim discovered — Agust Gastrobar. Absolutely breathtaking food, service, and ambience. A must for dinner!
Our one regret is that we did not give the driver more who picked us up from the airport in Barcelona and (unexpectedly to us) continued on as our driver with Monica for the early evening. If you are able to identify him, we would be happy to send something along.)

“Madness or genius” 5/5 stars

Antoni Gaudi is a name that should be on many if not all lips across the world. His vision for Sagrada Familia tells us much of what it is to truly be a global citizen. He concern for the environment was 100 years ahead of our current and understandable for it, his embrace of all nations was equally ahead of the efforts we now make to come together as a united community. All of this and more, was unveiled for us by Sonia. Her knowledge of Gaudi and his works was comprehensive yet accessible and contemporary. If you had one morning in Barcelona and wanted to do something you would never forget, a tour with her of Sagrada Familia and Park Guell would be my choice.

“A walk through Antoni Gaudi's Barcelona” 5/5 stars

You could dedicate a month to exploring Barcelona and not satiate all your senses. We chose, in our two short days, to concentrate on the legacy of the city's (and one of the world's) greatest architect, Antoni Gaudi. The breathtaking splendour of the yet-to-be-completed grand basilica of the Sagrada Familia stands as a monument to his genius, dedication and visionary architectural and engineering skills. To this were added the wonderful Parc Guell and, very close to our hotel, the Casa Battlo and La Pedrera. We were led through this visual wonderland by a charming, very knowledgeable and passionate young BGB tour guide (do ask for Sònia Crespo by name), who brought the history, symbolism and legacy of this man's work to life. Bravo, Sònia.

“too short time in Barcelona, but the Guide Bureau is a must!!!” 5/5 stars

We were on a cruise ship with only 12 hours in Barcelona, so we contacted the Guide Bureau to help us see the Sagrada Familia & Park Guell with passes and still save time for seeing town.
they were amazing to deal with, Julie especially with prompt service and flexible changes, and helped us see everything.
The guide, Bernat, was terrific and we could not hope for anything more. Contact them if you are planning a trip-you will not be disappointed!

“Aiport Transfer and Private 4 Hour Guided Gaudi Tour” 5/5 stars

We arranged for both a private airport transfer and a 4 hour guided Gaudi tour with Barcelona Guide Bureau. The airport transfer to our hotel (Hotel Duquesa de Cardona) was great – driver met us at airport on time, holding a sign with our name and then helped with our luggage into a nice Benz for the 30 minute trip to our hotel.

The next day we booked a 4 hour guided private tour, (with a driver), which included skip the line tickets to Sagrada Familia and Park Guell as well as external views of Casa Battlo and Pedrera. Our guide was perfect – she was informative, interesting, spoke very good English, and was a joy to spend our first day in Barcelona with. At the end of our tour, the driver dropped us off near the Olympic Ring and we took the Cable Car back to the harbor and walked to our hotel. Lines are much shorter for the cable car ride at the top, so it worked out very well. Terrific view of the city from above.

All in all, a great experience with Barcelona Guide Bureau – would definitely recommend and will use again next time we are in Spain.

“Awesome customer service and tour!” 5/5 stars

**Booking Experience** We easily, safely and securely booked a 3-person private walking tour (2-half days, 4 hours each day) online directly through BGB – http://www.barcelonaguidebureau.com . Clara Callis provided superb customer service (before, during and after the visit), helping us to create a custom itinerary based on our desires. We appreciated the prompt and helpful response each time we had an inquiry.

**Guide** We want to express our deepest appreciation for Aida’s detailed and unmatched knowledge of Barcelonian attractions, culture, history and its people. It was an honor and pleasure to have Aida as our guide who took us on a fantastic journey.

**Tour** On Day 1, we explored the architectural wonders of Gaudi, exploring La Sagrada Familia (outside and inside), La Pedrera (aka Casa Mila, outside and inside) and Casa Battlo, externally. We also experienced the history other architectural buildings and structures as we walked along the Passeig de Gracia area (where we also explored various restaurants and shops).

The Day 2 itinerary was flexible, allowing us to explore numerous places including Las Ramblas, El Born, Gothic Quarters, Barcelona Boardwalk, Parc de la Ciutadella and so much more. Aida told us about an event – La Festa Catalana – where we later ventured to on our own, enjoying Catalan traditions such as folk music and dancing, human tower building and giant puppets.

**Pricing** Worth every dollar!

**Overall** We had a wonderful overall experience. My husband and I will encourage anyone traveling to Barcelona for the first time to book a tour with the Barcelonal Guide Bureau, because of their level of care, attention and service before, during and after our private tour. Tip – be sure to wear comfortable shoes, since this was a walking tour.

“Half day Gaudi”

We had a private tour of 8 in a comfortable van for the Gaudi tour. Our tour guide, Arantxa, was excellent. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and was fun to have as our guide. Highlight was the Segrado Familia. Park Guell and the drive around Barcelona also enjoyable and informative. Highly recommend. Arantxa was a joy to spend the morning with, and gave us a great lead on a restaurant for tapas in the Gothic quarter.
