Dear friends of BGB,

This year is the 30 th anniversary of BGB. We would have loved to celebrate it with you all but unfortunately, that will not be possible. Wretched Covid has affected us to the extent that we have to reconsider our existence itself.

Tourist companies depend on seasonal activity, and just as we started doing business in March, Covid struck. We have gone through tough months, fighting to continue and looking for every opportunity to diversify. Despite these efforts, we have lost 99% of our income and the problem has become unmanageable.

We were a completely solvent company. To date, as always, we have paid all taxes, salaries and suppliers but we have had a year of accumulated losses and it has become unsustainable. The prospects of activity in 2021 are minimal and have been forced to file for insolvency proceedings on 26 November, 2020.

Barcelona Guide Bureau will close its doors on 31 December unless, before the dissolving of the company, somebody offers to buy it.

You will be able to continue counting on many BGB guides who will work for themselves. For anything you need, for the moment you can contact us in the usual way and we will advise you.

We would like to sincerely and warmly thank everyone: workers, clients, guides, and suppliers, all the people, companies and entities who have collaborated with us since 1990, for your support and friendship.

As for us, for many it has been a whole professional life and it has suddenly come to an end. We are not happy with what has happened, it is difficult to accept. 30 years sharing many pleasures and a few pains. Now, all that is left is to say
